Sprinkles Vs. Crumbs
1. Decoration
When you walk into sprinkles you see very boring cupcakes. They don’t really excite you. They do say “eat me” but they don’t say “EAT ME RIGHT NOW!!!” The color of the dots on the top tell you what flavor it is, it’s pretty bland. You could argue that it’s classy but it’s truly boring. Crumbs, on the other hand, is the opposite. The cupcakes are decorated to the fullest, with candies, cookies, crackers, sprinkles, designs, you name it. It’s extremely colorful and they cream “EAT ME RIGHT NOW”.
2. Location, location, location
There are many more crumbs locations meaning that the store isn’t usually packed with a line outside the door, all though it sometimes occurs, it isn’t often. There are only crumbs in Los Angeles and New York. There are Sprinkles in various cities, but only one in each city. The line goes out the door. The place is pretty small, too many people for such a small place. And there are a combination of tourists and locals trying to get the “LA experience”. Not worth waiting in line, maybe just once to get it out of your system.
3. taste
Sprinkles is pretty boring. The cupcake itself doesn’t have much flavor. All the flavor is in the frosting which isn’t to die for. There are a limited amount of flavors each day. Make sure to check the flavors online before you go. Crumbs has a HUGE selection of cupcakes every day. They do change some of the flavors day to day so you should also check online. They taste AMAZING. The flavor is in the toppings, frosting and CUPCAKE!!! The flavor is EVERYWHERE. It’s pretty amazing. They are so delicious.
