Day 2 – Do you believe in an afterlife? What do you believe happens when you die?
One of the uncomfortable ideas in life is what happens to use after we die. Every civilization has come up with thoughts and ideas of what is to happen to us once we die. I don’t have any thoughts, understandings, or beliefs of what happens to us when we die. The only thing that i believe is that once we die we know if there is a higher power, we learn who that higher power is, we learn the truths of the world. Once we die we learn the truth to all the stories we made up to try and explain life.
I love the Jewish way of looking at life. They don’t obsess with the afterlife or what is to become of us once we are dead, instead they believe in living the moment, living the life that we are in now. Living a life in order to please god. I believe that by pleasing ourselves we please those who created us.
